JUNIOR CIVIL & STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER
The Job Scope will include the following:
Provision of assistance to Senior Design Engineer
Development of Civil and Structural engineering designs and concepts
Preparation of drawings and tender documents (as required)
Provision of technical support during construction and site showround
Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engneering formulas, skills and experience with minimum supervision
Perform traditional manual calculations as well as efficient use of latest C&S design and engineering software
Completion of engineering drawings when given general requirement or specific instructions
Some Drafting assignments as needed by the Senior Engineer
Attend technical presentation or meeting with clients and other consultants to ensure C & S requirements are met
Maintain proper filing and record of drawing list
Able to start work Immediately (a week notice)
The Job Requirements will include the following:
Good degree in Civil & Structural Engineering
At least 3 years of relevant working experience
Familiarity in engineering softwares such as PROKON, ORION, TEDDS, TEKLA STRUCTURES, AUTOCAD, EXCEL (for calculations) and MS OFFICE is necessary for the position
Strong interest in numerical modeling
Conversant with local codes and standards and authority submission procedures
Familiar with construction methods and building of structures
Practical experience in design
Willingness to extend extra hours if there are urgent deadline or specific client instruction
